Society will tell you to choose between
a career or birthing a family,
Between Love or self-fulfillment,
Between your body or your dignity,
Between being an athlete or attractive,
Between your feelings or practicality,
Between emotions or consciousness,
Between your mind or your soul,
Between your mother or your father,
Between your daughter or your son,
Between your husband or a fairy tale,
Between You or Her,
Between self-sacrifice or self-care,
Between healing or pain,
Between hard work or working in joy,
Between purpose or servitude,
Between humility or confidence,
Between Self or the community,
Between intellect or appearances,
Between connecting or networking,
Between authenticity or being branded,
Between being open or labeled,
Between integrity or victimization,
Between having choices or checking boxes,
Between doing or to-do-lists,
Between being an activist or a sit-izen.
Women, do you know who you are?
Do you know you are more than these choices?
Women, do you understand what they are trying to do to you?
Do you know why they want to do this to you?
Their true intentions are always between the lines…
Women, know that you are POWER, trying to be contained.
Women, your divinity, is in knowing you are every-thing and no-thing.
Know that. Sit with that. Cradle in that. Accept that. Embrace that.
And when you become One with that…lean a little further on that…
The universe will be holding its breath to watch you Be.
