I am that “brown skin” child that you speak of, the change you fear that already is.
I am that “brown skin” child whose origins you uncomfortably can’t pin point or put in a box.
I am that “ brown skin” child whose roots you tried to stifle so I would lose my true reference points and my way home.
I am that “brown skin” child that represents what you intolerably know, but aren’t ready to accept.
I am that “brown skin” child that symbolizes Truth:
That colorless human race,
That borderless global citizen,
That fearless Spirit,
That priceless Love,
That senseless Being,
That limitless Divinity,
I am You as You are Me,
I AM.
